About
Jason grew up in the wide-open spaces of Fritch, Texas, where a kid, a dirt bike, and a fearless streak made every street, alley, and pasture an adventure. As the youngest of three, he spent the 80s and 90s chasing thrills, pushing boundaries, and learning early that life is best lived wide open.
When his parents divorced, Jason moved to Amarillo during middle school and went on to attend Amarillo High. He played football, found his share of mischief, and learned the kind of resilience that only comes from getting knocked down and getting back up again. His career path has been anything but conventional—he’s been a waiter, run a lawn service, chased snow as a ski bum, worked the oilfields as a roughneck, and sold advertising before finding his footing in business.
Life changed course when he met Abbie at West Texas A&M University. They married in 2010 on the beaches of Cancun, Mexico, and eventually settled in Conroe, Texas, to be near her family. Together they’ve built a life full of love, adventure, and purpose—welcoming their daughter Palmer in 2013 and their son Ford in 2015.
For Jason, adventure isn’t a hobby—it’s a way of life. Whether on a bike, a trail, or a new life path, he’s always looking for the next challenge, pushing himself mentally and physically, and inspiring others to do the same. His blog is where those stories live—the grit, the grace, and the faith it takes to ride through life’s toughest climbs and still find the view worth it at the top.
